Together We're Stronger

Raising Awareness, Providing Support
Together We're Stronger

We are now Marshalling Brain Injuries Alliance.

Formerly known as Marshalling CTE, our new name reflects how we’ve grown and who we support.

While CTE remains a vital part of our work, we now support a wider community affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI), concussion, and other brain injury–related conditions, as well as families, carers, and loved ones. Our mission, values, and commitment to raising awareness, providing support, and advocating for change remain the same — only our name has evolved to better represent the people we serve.

Marshalling Brain Injuries Alliance brings together lived experience, education, and community support to ensure no one affected by brain injury faces their journey alone.

Same passion. Same purpose. A clearer name for a growing community.

We support patients, families, friends, and carers, recognising that brain injury impacts not only individuals but the people around them. Alongside this, we work to improve public awareness and medical understanding of the short- and long-term effects of concussion and brain trauma, and the risks they pose to lifelong brain health.

Together We're Stronger!

Our Story, Mission and Core Values

Our Story

Marshalling Brain Injuries Alliance was created from lived experience. We know how isolating and overwhelming life with TBI, CTE, and other brain injuries can be — and how hard it can be to find clear information and real support. So we built the community we wished had existed.

Our Mission

To provide practical support, emotional connection, and trusted information to people affected by brain injury across the UK — including families, carers, and loved ones.

We raise awareness, advocate for better understanding, and work to ensure no one faces this journey alone.

Our Core Values

Community. Compassion. Empowerment. Hope.
Together, we are stronger.

Support Groups

At Marshalling Brain Injuries Alliance, our peer support groups provide a safe, confidential, and understanding space for people living with CTE, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other brain injury–related conditions. We know how isolating these experiences can feel and how difficult it can be to speak openly about symptoms, changes, and challenges.

Our groups connect you with others who truly understand — people who have walked a similar path and can offer empathy, shared experience, and practical support.

Whether your brain injury is linked to sport, military service, domestic abuse, accident, or another cause, you are welcome here. We also offer dedicated spaces for families, carers, and friends, recognising that brain injury affects the whole support network, not just the individual.

No judgement. No pressure. Just connection, understanding, and community.

Marshalling CTE x Trunk2Tale

We’re proud to have collaborated with Trunk2Tale to develop a dedicated app designed to support people affected by TBI, CTE, and other brain injury–related conditions.

The app provides a secure, personal space to track symptoms, record experiences, organise medical information, and reflect on your journey. Designed with lived experience at its core, it helps users spot patterns, prepare for appointments, and feel more in control of their brain health.

This collaboration brings practical digital support directly into the hands of our community — because understanding your journey is a powerful step toward managing it.

Public Awareness

At Marshalling Brain Injuries Alliance, we believe prevention and education save lives. Too many people remain unaware of the immediate and long-term risks of concussion, repeated sub-concussive impacts, and traumatic brain injury.

We are dedicated to raising awareness about brain health and improving understanding of TBI, CTE, and other brain injury–related conditions. Through education, resources, and lived experience, we work to empower individuals, families, and communities with knowledge that can protect and improve lives.

But awareness must go further. We also advocate for better understanding within healthcare and wider society. Too often, people struggle to receive a diagnosis or access appropriate support due to gaps in training and recognition.

We raise our voices, amplify lived experiences, and stand alongside other charities and advocates to educate, inform, and push for change — because everyone deserves to be heard, supported, and protected.

Meet Our Passionate Team

Behind Marshalling Brain Injuries Alliance is a dedicated team driven by lived experience, compassion, and a shared commitment to change. Many of us have been personally affected by TBI, CTE, and brain injury–related conditions, giving us a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families.

We are advocates, supporters, and community builders — united by a belief that no one should face brain injury alone. Our team works tirelessly to provide support, raise awareness, and push for greater understanding within healthcare and society.

What connects us is simple: empathy, determination, and hope. Together, we are building a stronger, more informed community for everyone affected by brain injury.
