Support Beyond Our Community
Helpful Organisations & Trusted Charities
No one organisation can do this alone. That’s why we’ve brought together a list of trusted charities, support services, and specialist organisations that provide guidance, advocacy, medical support, and practical help for people affected by TBI, CTE, dementia, and other brain injury–related conditions.
Whether you’re looking for medical advice, carer support, financial guidance, research updates, or peer communities, these organisations offer valuable expertise and additional pathways to support.
Together, we are stronger — and stronger when we work collaboratively.

Boston University
Boston University is a global leader in research into Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).
Through its CTE Centre, researchers study the long-term effects of repeated head impacts, examine donated brain tissue, and work to better understand how CTE develops and progresses.
Their research has played a significant role in increasing awareness of the risks associated with concussion and repetitive brain trauma, helping to shape education, prevention strategies, and future diagnostic research worldwide.

Dementia UK & Admiral Nurse
Dementia UK is a national charity providing specialist support for families affected by dementia. Through their team of Admiral Nurses, they offer expert guidance, practical advice, and emotional support to help people navigate the challenges that dementia can bring.
Admiral Nurses are highly trained dementia specialists who work alongside families — offering reassurance, information, and ongoing support at every stage of the journey. Their work ensures that no family has to face dementia alone.

The Brain Bank
Donating Your Brain Matters
Brain banks play a vital role in advancing our understanding of CTE, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other neurodegenerative conditions.
At present, CTE can only be definitively diagnosed through post-mortem examination of brain tissue. This means that brain donation is essential for confirming diagnoses and improving scientific knowledge.
By donating brain tissue for research, individuals and families contribute to studies that help scientists better understand how CTE develops, how it progresses, and how it might one day be diagnosed and treated during life.
Brain donation is a deeply personal decision, but it is one of the most powerful ways to support future generations — helping improve prevention, awareness, and care for those affected by brain injury.
