Our Mission
At Marshalling Brain Injuries Alliance, our mission is to ensure that no one affected by brain injury has to face their journey alone.
We provide support, education, advocacy, and hope to people living with traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain injury (ABI), concussion, probable CTE, and related neurological conditions, as well as their families, carers, and loved ones.
Through lived experience, evidence-informed information, peer support, and community connection, we aim to help people better understand their symptoms, improve their quality of life, and feel empowered to take control of their brain health.
We are committed to raising awareness, challenging misconceptions, and improving understanding of the long-term impact brain injuries can have on individuals, families, and communities.
Our Vision
We envision a future where every person affected by brain injury has access to understanding, support, and opportunities to live the best life possible.
A future where brain injuries are recognised earlier, understood better, and supported more effectively.
A future where no one feels isolated, dismissed, or forgotten.
Our Values
Community
We believe that connection matters.
Brain injury can be isolating, but nobody should have to navigate that journey alone. We foster supportive communities where people can share experiences, find understanding, and support one another.
Compassion
We treat every person with kindness, empathy, dignity, and respect.
Every brain injury journey is unique, and we strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where people feel heard and valued.
Empowerment
Knowledge is powerful.
We provide information, resources, and support that help people make informed decisions, advocate for themselves, and regain confidence in their future.
Integrity
We are committed to providing balanced, evidence-informed information.
We encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and informed discussions while remaining honest about what is known, what is emerging, and what still requires further research.
Collaboration
Meaningful change happens when people work together.
We actively collaborate with individuals, families, healthcare professionals, researchers, charities, community organisations, and supporters to improve awareness and support for those affected by brain injury.
Hope
Brain injury can change lives, but it does not define a person.
We believe in focusing on possibilities, strengths, resilience, and the potential for improvement, growth, and meaningful connection.
Together, We're Stronger
Everything we do is guided by a simple belief:
No one should face brain injury alone.
Whether you are living with a brain injury, caring for a loved one, seeking information, or looking for support, you are welcome within our community.
Together, We're Stronger.
